Our C19 procedures
Since the start of lockdown, we have worked closely with Scottish Swimming to ensure our club is and continues to be a safe environment. I have taken responsibility as the COVID Lead for the club as I feel it is important for the Chairperson to take direct responsibility to be directly answerable to swimmers, parents and committee re this. If you have any questions please contact me via chairperson@kinrossotters.co.uk

Since the start of COVID the procedures we have put in place are highlighted as best practice by Scottish Swimming and continue to be used by our Pool Operator as their standard operating procedures. They are in place to keep our swimmers and volunteers safe during the continued prevalence of COVID variants.
Before you leave for training
Please ensure before on the day of each session, your child performs a lateral flow test at home and for the test to be negative. If positive please follow Scottish Government guidelines re isolating and informing Track and Trace.

Exactly as we have been operating since returning to training following lock down please ensure your child comes to the pool 'beach ready'. To simplify: pre shower at home, swimming kit on , one removable outer layer ideally a club onesie or dry-robe, normal shoes for journey to the pool (sliders to be worn in pool facility) and face mask which is mandatory (unless you have informed the club of a medical exemption).
Entering the Facility
Please arrive 10 minutes before your training session. You will be met at the door by a COVID officer who will check your swimmer into the facility. It is both the Facility Operator's and the Club's policy that face masks must be worn by all swimmers, coaches and volunteers on entry to the building unless medical exemption has been provided to the club. The image above outlines the six simple steps for entry to the pool area.

The COVID officer will take a register of the session noting swimmers in attendance and their allocated lanes. This is stored electronically by the club and complies to GDPR guidelines and will be used only as requested directly by Track and Trace.
Exiting the facility
As per the image above please follow the three-step process to complete your training set, change and exit the pool. Please note, swimmers currently have the option to use the showers for a quick rinse. 1m distancing is in force in the shower area and time in shower should be minimised.
